“Ode to Joy” photo competition – the winners

What brings you joy? It was the question we posed to photographers for Datacolor’s Fall 2021 Photo Contest, “Ode to Joy,” held in Germany this year. We’re happy to report that we were inundated with amazing photos that served to remind us that joy is indeed all around us and can be found anywhere if we simply take the time to look. It was challenging, as it always is for us, to select just a few images as our contest winners, since joy is a subjective topic and we received so many fantastic shots. But after much deliberation, we did make our selection which we share with you here. And don’t worry – we’ll still share many of the images with you that didn’t win but are nonetheless beautiful, in future posts because as author Spider Robinson noted, “Joy shared is joy increased.”

“The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
